Whiskey
Hill is a musical sanctuary for guitarists, instrumentalists, and vocalists of all kinds.
Not only is the studio located in the middle of nature, just about every
aspect of the studio is designed around the artist.
The
room is silent, it's packed with the best gear, but more than anything,
if you want to take a break, just open up the window and the
breath-taking views should be enough to zero you in on your target.
There is nothing more natural than recording in a place that lets you get closer to your inner musician without the distractions of parking remotely, outside noise, and anything else that gets in between you and your music.
Read what others have to say about the studio:
Had
the pleasure of Recording at Roger's Whiskey Hill Studios in Woodside
and the result was some of the Best work that I have ever had on me
from my 40+ records. I recommend it Highly, and had a fun time with some
Vintage Gear, too.

It is
just very cool to be able to play these guitars and amps in a place
where you can turn things up and really hear how they sound....you
really have more than a studio but you have a great place to get guitar
freaks like you and me hooked on new equipment. Your stuff has really
opened my ears up to the vintage sound!

A
beautiful and embracing environment to create and record music. Roger
Choplin has created a great studio that makes the artist feel at ease. I
have recorded at a variety of studio's in L.A. and S.F. and Whiskey
Hill is one of my favorites!

Recording at Whiskey Hill
Studios continues to be a deeply satisfying experience. The setting is
relaxed and convivial, while the studio is fully professional with the
finest audio equipment and streamlined technologies; it's easy both to
focus and to be inspired, a great combination for any live recording.
Engineer Mike Gold is well-versed on the most up-to-date recording
processes and techniques, and has an extensive knowledge of acoustic and
electric instruments, which allows him to provide thoughtful insight
into each track. I would recommend Whiskey Hill without reservation, and
I have been delighted by the results each time I've recorded there.

My experience recording at Whiskey Hill has been really relaxed and enjoyable.
I've done two sessions at Whiskey Hill with Mike Gold engineering.
Both times were a blast! The facilities are top notch and Mike pays
attention to every detail. Working at Whiskey Hill helped us to improve
our overall sound.
